Lincoln Center Imagination Series

imagination-series-website-header

The Junior League of Fort Collins partners with the Lincoln Center on its Imagination Series, providing free tickets to low-income children and families so that they can be exposed to a variety of quality entertainment.

The Lincoln Center’s Imagination Series is a set of three performances each year that are specifically geared toward children and families.  The Junior League of Fort Collins Imagination Series committee works with local nonprofit agencies to distribute nearly 1,000 tickets each year to low-income children and families that might not otherwise be able to attend.

For more information about the Imagination Series program, contact imagination@jlfortcollins.org.

Imagination Series Testimonials

My son and I went and saw Illstyle and Peace Productions in February. It was fun watching my son leave the show dancing and trying to do the moves the performers were doing. He also got to meet some of them and told them he wants to be like them. Thank you for providing my son and I a wonderful experience.

-Imagination Series Ticket Recipient

Our Participants absolutely love attending the Imagination Series events. It’s a bit exciting after one of these events, because I love hearing the rave reviews as well as the wonderful words of thanks for the tickets. I often hear from our Participants that being able to attend these performances provides them with a much-needed release from the demands that they juggle on a daily basis. Attending school while holding down a job and caring for one (or more) children can be very draining on a person; the events offered by the Junior League allow our Participants to simply enjoy themselves for an evening while spending quality time with their young ones.

-Jason Johnson, Project Self Sufficiency

Receiving these tickets to performances at the Lincoln Center’s Imagination series is a wonderful opportunity for the low income single parents enrolled in Project Self-Sufficiency. One of our participants shared with me how her son loves beat boxing and hip hop dancing. She had been tryng to save up money for tickets to take him to the Illstyle & Peace show. She wasn’t able to afford it, but since we received come complimentary tickets, she was able to attend. Her 6 year old son was absolutely delighted. We are so grateful to the Junior League for providing these cultural & enrichment opportunities the families we serve!
