How to Join Junior League

If you are interested in joining or would like to talk with a member about the Junior League experience, please contact newmember@jlfortcollins.org.  You can also come to any JLFC event to learn more about the organization.

New Members
The Junior League of Fort Collins accepts and trains new members three times a year.  Each New Member class completes four new member training meetings and a volunteer project.

Attendance is required for all new member meetings and attendance to the monthly general membership meetings is strongly encouraged during the new member period. This process helps familiarize new members with what Junior League is and how we help our community. 

The typical application process for a new member includes:

  • Attending four New Member meetings
  • Complete and return the New Member Application to the New Member Chair or Secretary
  • Pay the one-time new member fee ($25) and annual League dues ($133, which is prorated depending on the time of year)
  • Volunteer Project

New Member Session Dates:

Upcoming New Member Sessions start on the following dates:

  • Spring: January 15, 2019
  • Summer: May 14, 2019
  • Fall: September 10, 2019

To get started, email newmember@jlfortcollins.org to RSVP for an upcoming New Member session.

The first New Member session is an informational session in Fort Collins that is designed to give you as much information as you need to decide if JLFC will be a great fit for you!  If you decide otherwise, you are not required to continue with the rest of the New Member classes.

If you decide to support your community with the JLFC, the subsequent three New Member session dates are the second Tuesday of each month and meeting times are from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.  Your dues and New Member Application will be due at the second meeting.

As mentioned prior, the General Membership meetings are also strongly encouraged when you are going through your New Member Class process.  General Membership meetings are the first Tuesday of every month with social hour from 6-7pm and meeting times from 7-8:30pm. More details can be found in the events calendar and at the first information session.

Transfer Members
The Junior League of Fort Collins welcomes transfer members from sister Leagues.  Any Junior League member in good standing may transfer her membership and will be granted the status consistent with the membership categories of our League.  A New Member who transfers may complete her training with the Junior League of Fort Collins.

Sustaining Members
The Junior League of Fort Collins draws on a wealth of experience from its sustaining members.  Sustainers have fulfilled active membership requirements for at least five years and continue to support the Junior League of Fort Collins and our community.  Sustaining members have all the privileges of active members, except that they may not hold office or vote.

Any active member of the Junior League of Fort Collins who wishes to apply for sustaining member status should contact secretary@jlfortcollins.org
