22 Sep About Us – Friends of League
At the Junior League of Fort Collins, we know that we can accomplish so much more when we work together. We are proud to partner with the following organizations to further our mission of creating opportunities for women and children to thrive.
The Food Bank for Larimer County
The Food Bank for Larimer County is a private non-profit organization that works to deliver health, hope and humanity to stabilize the lives of clients and build a vibrant community. As the only Feeding America clearinghouse for donated food in Larimer County, each year, the Food Bank for Larimer County provides food to nearly 36,000 people in need through community partnerships and hunger-relief programs.
The Junior League of Fort Collins’ Hunger Initiative partners with the Food Bank for Larimer County to provide snacks to schools that serve children in need. The program partners with teachers, counselors and outreach workers to provide fruit and/or individually wrapped snacks to help a hungry child maintain focus throughout the day.
Fort Collins Nursery
Fort Collins Nursery has been helping people with their gardens and landscapes since 1932 and continues to offer the finest quality trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, garden gifts, tools, fertilizers and books. The nursery also boasts friendly Certified Nursery Professionals to answer all your plant and landscaping questions.
Fort Collins Nursery is a critical supporter of the Junior League of Fort Collins’ Annual Garden Tour. For more than 30 years, Garden Tour has been League’s signature fundraising event, growing funds in support of our community programs.
The Lincoln Center
The Lincoln Center is one of Colorado’s largest and most diverse presenters of professional theatre, dance, music, visual arts and children’s programs. Its mission is to be a leader in cultural experience and make it an essential value to the Fort Collins community.
The Junior League of Fort Collins partners with the Lincoln Center on its Imagination Series, providing free tickets to low-income children and families so that they can be exposed to a variety of quality entertainment.
