31 Mar Fund Development – Women’s Conference
As women, we do it all. We have careers, families, hobbies, commitments and responsibilities. We are professionals, students, mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, parents, colleagues, caregivers, friends, neighbors, partners, volunteers and more. Some days, we have no idea how we do it. Somehow, it gets done—every day. But you can’t pour from an empty cup.
To top it off, more evidence mounts every day chronicling the devastating impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on women. In September, 865,000 women over 20 dropped out of the American workforce compared with 216,000 men, and one in four women are considering downshifting their careers or leaving the workforce entirely because of the impact of COVID-19.
Loss of employment, loss of childcare, loss of loved ones. Working from home, parenting while educating, isolation and depression. It’s going to be a long road to recovery for the women in our community. So let’s fill our cups.
The Junior League has been empowering women since 1901. Now, 120 years later, we hope to empower each other and ourselves while raising funds to support our community programming with our inaugural Women’s Conference.
The virtual Women’s Conference event is an important fundraiser for the Junior League of Fort Collins and our Career Closet. Thanks to a generous donor, all proceeds made from the event will be matched, up to $5,000. Help us reach our goal by making a donation or purchasing some great leadership swag through our fundraiser with Bonfire.
