Board Meeting – INTERNAL MEETING
Board Meeting – INTERNAL MEETING
The Junior League of Fort Collins Board of Directors meets on the third Tuesday of the month.
Being a member of The Junior League of the Junior League of Fort Collins means being part of a group of women dedicated to making an impact on their community, developing their potential, and lifting each other up. Membership looks different for everyone. But we are united by our desire to develop our potential, improve communities, and promote voluntarism.
Provide your information to be contacted by the New Member Chair about joining the New Member Class.
Our members identify as employees, bosses, mothers, partners, daughters, friends, and many other titles. That is why we offer leadership opportunities with a variety of different time commitments, so members can find what works for them.
Our members have diverse interests and we have leadership opportunities in a variety of areas. We provide members the chance to develop skills and competencies across all of the League’s operations.
Our members want to improve their leadership skills. The League creates a unique space where women can be challenged and championed by other women, who are united by the same Mission.
Our members want the chance to grow. We provide space for members to take on larger roles inside the League. A central part of our mission is to improve the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. For more than 25 years, the Junior League of Fort Collins has devoted itself to training its members on the leadership skills necessary to serve our community in a number of capacities. To achieve this, the Training Committee frequently organizes activities at general membership meetings.
Every general meeting of the Junior League of Fort Collins begins with a social hour. During this time, members can enjoy refreshments, talk with other members and hold informal meetings. Members also enjoy a variety of other social opportunities including happy hours, fundraising events, volunteer projects and more.
The very heart of Junior League is volunteering. Members of the Junior League of Fort Collins volunteer for projects that directly benefit the community – whether it’s work driven by League itself like our Career Closet or Hunger Initiative partnership, or Done in a Day projects that benefit other local nonprofits.
Annual Dues – Every member pays an annual fee to maintain her membership. Dues are used to fund 100% of the League’s administrative expenses.
League Job – Active members are will receive a committee placement. Every year, members can choose from different roles across all areas of the League.
Training & Volunteer Requirements – Members can choose from a variety of training and volunteer opportunities.
Fundraiser Support – Members are asked to support the League’s fundraising events throughout the year, which raise funds exclusively for our mission-based programs.
